Jazz Ensemble
The MAYWE Jazz Ensemble has been established to provide talented high school musicians with an outlet to perform within this idiom. Under the direction of Dr. Gordon Vernick, Georgia State University's Jazz Studies Coordinator, the ensemble will rehearse weekly and present concerts along with the Wind and Percussion Ensembles. In addition to preparing for concerts, a focus will be put on developing improvisation skills.
